How the estimate works

  1. We start with the official median salary for the occupation (and your state when data is available) from BLS OEWS.
  2. Experience, education, certifications and industry apply conservative, transparent multipliers that are clearly labeled as estimates.
  3. The combined adjustment is capped at ±25% so results stay realistic.
  4. We report a confidence level and show every factor applied, plus the limitations of the model.
